Kent Introduction Session – Come say hello

For those based in Kent only. A one-hour online session of discussion, finding out about what Communities Prepared offers and planning how you could help your community be more resilient to a range of emergencies.


Find our about how we can work together to help our communities be safer. Follow the link to register for this session, specifically for those in Kent Parish and Town Councils and others in Kent who are interested in community resilience, with the intention of welcoming discussion about the specific concerns of this county and of introducing the Kent community to representatives of the Kent Local Resilience ForumThis is the recommended starting point before taking other courses in the learning space, which you can access as a member. 

If you are not yet a member then you will need to become one before you can sign up to our events. Registering is quick and free, and helps us gauge how many people our training and support is reaching as we evaluate the project. Your data will not be shared anywhere else, you will never be asked for your payment details, and you will only be signed up to our monthly newsletter as part of this process (you can unsubscribe at any time).

Groundwork South manages and runs the Communities Prepared programme. As both ‘Data Controller’ and ‘Data Processor’, Groundwork South safely collects and processes the data you provide upon registration. The data you provide in registering for this event will be shared securely for the purpose of legitimate interest with the following partner organisations:

  • The Environment Agency
  • Sarah Rose (the independent evaluator for the Communities Prepared programme. This is for monitoring and evaluation purposes to improve community volunteer engagement and training across the UK)

Your rights in respect to data processing

You are entitled to request us to erase any personal data we hold about you under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We will do our best to respond promptly and in any event within one month of the following:

• Our receipt of your written request; or

• Our receipt of any further information we may ask you to provide to enable us to comply with your request, whichever happens to be later.

How long we retain your personal data
