This webinar is based on the introductory training module from Communities Prepared, designed for members of the community looking to build an understanding of the potential responsibilities of the roles of a Community Emergency Volunteer (CEV). The session will help community members in Lowestoft to develop their knowledge of a range of emergencies and learn new skills to support them in building a CEV group. Breakout sessions will provide an opportunity to make new connections and explore options for future collaborative working in order to help grow community resilience in the area. The webinar will be co-delivered by Groundwork East and Communities Prepared (led by Groundwork South), with support from the Environment Agency's East Anglia Flood Resilience Team and East Suffolk Council.
Join us to build your knowledge on a range of key topics, including:
• The three Cs (Command, Control and Communications) and how these apply
• Working with emergency responders
