Leading a group of volunteers or managing volunteering efforts during an emergency can be a daunting experience, even for the most experienced. This webinar from Communities Prepared is aimed at members of the Lowestoft community who are currently involved in organising volunteering efforts or are interested in developing the skills and confidence to become Coordinators of Community Emergency Volunteer groups or a lead Flood Wardens.
The session will explore managing volunteers and maintaining engagement and how to integrate or build upon partnerships with the wider emergency response structure. It will be co-delivered by Groundwork East and Communities Prepared (led by Groundwork South), with support from the Environment Agency's East Anglia Flood Resilience Team and East Suffolk Council.

As well as giving advice on managing a group during an emergency, the session also provides tips on setting up a group and running training sessions, based on first-hand experience from volunteer groups.
