The East Midlands Series: Incident Management Parts 1 & 2

This first webinar in the series provides an introduction to emergency response and guidance on building a multi-role volunteer group.

This webinar is aimed at Flood Warden and Community Emergency Volunteer groups based in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and other counties within the East Midlands. The session has been designed to support volunteers to develop their understanding of the responsibilities and limitations of their role, increase knowledge on a range of emergencies and learn new skills to build the capabilities of their groups.

The webinar will be co-delivered with the Environment Agency’s East Midlands Flood Resilience Team, Derbyshire County Council's Emergency Planning Team and Nottinghamshire County Council's Emergency Planning Team, to provide local knowledge and expertise and promote a joined-up approach to community resilience.

Join us to build your knowledge on a range of key topics, including:

• The three Cs (Command, Control and Communications) and how these apply

• Working with emergency responders

• Undertaking dynamic risk assessments

• Implementing a basic command structure for a volunteer group
