The Northumberland Series: Incident Management Parts 1 & 2

This first webinar in the series provides an introduction to emergency response and guidance on building a multi-role volunteer group in Northumberland.

Delivered in partnership with Northumberland CVA, this webinar from Communities Prepared is aimed at community volunteers and community activists across Northumberland. The session has been designed to support community volunteers to develop their understanding of the responsibilities and limitations of their role, increase knowledge on a range of emergencies and learn new skills to build the capabilities of their groups.

Join us to build your knowledge on a range of key topics, including:

• The three Cs (Command, Control and Communications) and how these apply

• Working with emergency responders

• Undertaking dynamic risk assessments

• Implementing a basic command structure for a volunteer group

Who is this for?

This webinar is aimed at community volunteers and community activists across Northumberland, including:

• Flood Warden and Community Emergency Volunteer groups

• Mutual Aid and Isolation Support groups and anyone involved in the COVID-19 response efforts

• Committee members, trustees and volunteers from village halls, community centres and community venues

It is also open to:

• Councillors, Clerks, staff from Town and Parish Councils
