This webinar covers snow and winter weather and your role as a Community Emergency Volunteer in assisting the community during a snow event.

This webinar from Communities Prepared provides an introduction to snow and winter weather and your role as a Community Emergency Volunteer (CEV) before, during and after a snow incident. This is a useful module for Flood Warden groups looking to become multi-role and feel confident managing a range of emergencies. This webinar will be co-delivered with Dorset Council's Highways team and supported by the Environment Agency’s Wessex Flood Resilience Team and Dorset Prepared.

Join this session to build your knowledge on a range of key topics, including:

• Writing and triggering a snow plan

• Vulnerable persons' check

• Equipment and Snow Warden PPE

• Health and safety

This webinar has been primarily designed for Flood wardens from both new and established Flood Warden groups and Community Emergency Volunteers in Dorset looking to develop their skills in managing a range of emergencies, but is also open to:

Community organisations, Town and Parish Councils and those interested or working in community resilience within the locality.
