Below you’ll find information on online events that we are hosting or participating in. Due to COVID-19, all of our in-person training events have been adapted to an online format and are being delivered as webinars via Zoom. These webinars are based on the Communities Prepared training modules, which start with an introduction to emergency response and are followed by issue-specific training on flooding, snow, utilities failure, and public health emergencies. The modules draw upon existing initiatives and expertise from across the emergency response sector, resulting in informative and engaging content that can be used and adapted by Community Emergency Volunteer groups and supporting organisations at a local level. We have also recently started to run ‘in-focus’ sessions on key topics that support the wider sustainability of volunteer groups, including volunteer recruitment, insurance, risk assessments and GDPR.
Our webinars are tailored to local regions and communities and co-delivered with local partners, including the Environment Agency’s Flood Resilience Teams and local Category 1 and 2 responders. To find out more and to book a training webinar, please get in touch.
